Giving Tuesday – How You Can Help Local Pets in Need

Giving Tuesday – How You Can Help Local Pets in NeedFirst came Black Friday, then Cyber Monday, now we have Giving Tuesday. I personally think this is a great idea and it can be more than just about donating money.

Donating money – There are a number of local groups that help pets in need. Here are a few of them.

  • MNSNAP – Minnesota Spay and Neuter Program. They provide affordable and accessible spay and neuter services to those in need. They travel all over Minnesota to provide their services.. http://mnsnap.org/
  • Underdog Rescue: They are a foster-based rescue that is rescuing, rehabilitating and placing “underdogs” in forever homes. http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/
  • Midwest Animal Rescue ( MARS). They are a foster-based rescue group that helps dogs and cats find their forever homes with the support and aid of dedicated volunteers and supporters. http://www.midwestanimalrescue.org/
  • Feline rescue: They are a volunteer based organization. Feline Rescue, Inc. is funded exclusively through donations and grants. They have an adoption center in St Paul. http://felinerescue.org/

Donate Time –  There are other ways to give to these groups besides donating money. If you wish you can volunteer for one of these groups, become a foster home or become a forever home for those in need. Find out more by visiting their websites.
